theodore (& i) are home from paris!
theodore had a marvelous time in paris. the crayon box got a peek at how i created a series of "theodore in paris" postcards-- and then each got one of six designs!
if you want to collect one too, the next FIVE people to join the crayon box (my author/illustrator patreon community) will get one of the (very few!) remaining theodore in paris postcards included in their welcome packs!

two art nerds (still) in love: happy 8th anniversary to us!
this weekend the hubs (i.e. nathan) is at a portrait painting conference up in virginia. and while it's not quite paris (above), i tagged along anyway to get some BOOK (& other) work done. yay! maybe even a dinner out while we're here...

*part of our meet-cute story: on our first date he pronounced "quinacridone violet" correctly. something i'd never heard another man do. i guess that's when this colour nerd fell in love. ;)
